The government has not imposed restrictions on offshore gambling platforms targeting local consumers, and no players have been prosecuted for accessing foreign betting websites (2). Online casinos can theoretically operate with proper state licenses, but the approval procedure from the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Planning for internet gaming sites is not functional in practice.
